Police had received roughly 60 reports of damage linked to the Ta’ Lourdes fireworks-factory explosion. Forensic officers, Armed Forces explosives specialists and pyrotechnics experts continued working under Magistrate Joe Mifsud’s inquiry, with the area guarded around the clock. Investigators used drones and other equipment to map the destroyed site and nearby farms and fields. They were reconstructing the layout, explosives records, work programme and the movements of the last people present before the 6.30am blast.
