Qormi residents gain 100 free overnight parking spaces

A new Qormi supermarket will make 100 parking spaces available free of charge to residents after closing time. The car park, at the former Coca-Cola factory site in Triq l-Iljun, will be accessible between 10pm and 7am. Mayor Josef Masini Vento said the arrangement followed local complaints about parking pressure and discussions with the operator after the council had initially raised traffic concerns about the development. Residents were warned not to leave vehicles there during trading hours because the land remains privately owned.
