Leħen ir-Resident brought together associations from 12 localities in Malta and Gozo, backed by nine environmental and civil-society groups. It called for consistent enforcement against excessive noise, illegal occupation of public and coastal space, blocked pavements and other breaches affecting residents. The collective said isolated interventions were insufficient and urged the police, tourism, lands, planning, building and transport authorities, together with councils, to stop passing responsibility between them. It stressed that it did not oppose tourism or business, but argued that commercial activity should not erode access, peace and quality of life.
