A court allowed a reduced fireworks display in Birżebbuġa after a prohibitory injunction had halted aerial fireworks for the feast. Newsbook reported that Prime Minister Robert Abela and Minister Miriam Dalli helped secure an alternative site for the limited display. The injunction had been filed on the day the aerial programme was due to begin, leaving organisers little time to challenge it. The compromise allowed some pyrotechnics to proceed while respecting the court order, amid wider debate about safety, property damage and the rights of neighbouring landowners.
