Yorgen Fenech’s defence closed its case after calling an OPM official, an Electrogas representative and a Bank of Valletta representative, though the court restricted part of the final witness’s evidence. Several previously listed public figures were not called. Prosecutor Anthony Vella then began the state’s closing reply, urging jurors to focus on Fenech and arguing that Melvin Theuma’s account was independently supported by recordings, payments and other testimony. Fenech denies complicity in Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder and criminal association.
