The Nationalist Party has added a seawater-quality section to its website, covering five monitoring points across four popular beaches. Results range from suitable for bathing to very poor, with closure notices where necessary. The party linked the initiative to reported infections and to the European Court of Justice’s 2024 ruling on Malta’s shortcomings in urban wastewater treatment and monitoring. It said the tool is intended to give swimmers clearer, regularly updated information while increasing pressure for action on marine pollution.
