The Planning Authority ordered the immediate removal of an unauthorised structure outside Piccolo Padre at the Centric Hotel on The Strand, Sliema. Enforcement notice EC/00122/26 covers a retractable awning over the pavement and partly over the carriageway, a road-area support pillar, tiles and planters. The authority said it acted after complaints, including from Sliema Local Council, and had already instructed the contravener to stop work. The council raised concerns about wheelchair and visually impaired access and junction sightlines. Failure to comply may trigger further enforcement.
