Momentum accused KM Malta Airlines of concealing its financial performance by failing to publish audited accounts for 2023, 2024 or 2025. The state-owned carrier was established in October 2023 and began operating in March 2024. An extension for accounts covering the year to March 2025 had already expired. The party said taxpayers deserved clarity after the Air Malta closure and replacement exercise cost more than €400 million. The PN and Malta Chamber had separately pressed for publication, while reported first-year losses remained officially unconfirmed.
